US online retailer will make its deliveries, breaking through UPS and FedEx

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN.O) will suspend a delivery service in the United States for the purpose of competing with UPS and FedEx.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the online retailer told customers that the Amazon shipping service will be launched in June, which was the first to report the change.

Amazon sources said Amazon was suspending the service because it had the potential to increase orders from its customers.

An Amazon spokeswoman confirmed in an email to Reuters that the service had been terminated, saying, “We regularly look at a variety of factors on Amazon, so that we can work properly to serve our customers.”

” Amazon shipping is available in many US cities, including Los Angeles, and handles non-Amazon and Amazon marketplace packages.
