A pre-laminated board is an engineered product that is made by compressing sawdust, wood shavings, wooden chips which are held together by a resin binder. It also is comprised of leftover by-products from the plywood manufacture and is sustainable and cost-effective compared to other boards. These particle boards are given the final touch with thin sheets of laminates or veneer, giving them a better appearance and making them durable. This is a pre-laminated particle board or also known as pre-veneered particleboard.

Laminates are usually made up of layers and adhesive where the grains of the adjacent layers are at right angles to each other. It is one of the most standard surfacing materials made from layers of Kraft paper stuck together under high temperatures and pressure. They are also treated with melamine and phenolic resins. These are the most affordable surfacing material available in the market.

They are durable and come in a variety of several textures, patterns, and colours. The installation of such boards is easy and is laid as a decorative surface or wooden layer. The price of the laminate is calculated on the sheet’s properties and thickness.

Pre-laminated boards can be used as decorative, anti-bacterial, HD gloss, digital, and chalk-grade laminates. They can be used in a myriad of applications such as table tops, shelves, cabinets, and other furniture.

Pre-laminated boards are durable enduring wear and tear, besides being stain, scratch, and heat resistant. Here’s why leading furniture brands and architectural firms use pre-laminated boards. They have colour coordinated range sized to shape and perfection, with avant-garde edging to match. They are also impact-resistant, moisture retardant, and hygienic, besides having two-grain structures for sides and ends. Anti-bacterial surface, tested to ISO 22196, safe for food and these boards add to the look and feel of the space.
