Let’s recall what a fraction & a decimal is. A fraction is a part of a whole. When we divide a whole into pieces we get a fraction. A fraction is expressed in the form of ‘p/q’ where ‘p’ & ‘q’ are whole Numbers & q0. We must remember that for a part to be expressed in fraction, the size of all the parts should be same. When we divide something into a number of equal parts, the total number of parts is called denominator & the number of selected parts is called the numerator.
